General betting conditions

Casinova provides betting services subject to applicable Australian laws and the rules that apply to the relevant product, event or market. These rules are intended to give players clear information about how bets are accepted, recorded, settled and reviewed. Additional rules may appear on the betting page, within a market description or in the terms for a particular promotion. Where a specific market rule differs from a general rule, the specific market rule will generally apply.

You must be legally permitted to use the service in the place where you are located. You must also meet any applicable minimum age requirement and complete any identity, verification or account checks requested by Casinova. An account must be used only by the person to whom it is registered. You must keep your login details secure and must not allow another person to access or use your account.

All information provided during registration and account management must be accurate, complete and current. You are responsible for checking your account details and notifying Casinova if information changes. Casinova may restrict, suspend or close an account where information cannot be verified, where account use appears irregular or where this is required for legal, regulatory, security or responsible gambling reasons.

  • Bets may be placed only through the methods made available on the Casinova website or platform.
  • A bet is subject to the displayed odds, selections, stake and market terms shown at the time of placement.
  • You should review your bet slip carefully before confirming a bet.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the correct event, market, selection, odds and stake have been chosen.
  • A bet should not be treated as accepted until it has been recorded in your account or a confirmation is displayed.
  • Screenshots or an on-screen message are not, by themselves, proof that a bet was accepted if the bet does not appear in your account history.

Placing, changing and cancelling bets

Once a bet has been submitted and accepted, it normally cannot be changed or cancelled by the player. If you notice an error before confirming a bet, use the available bet slip controls to remove or amend the selection. You should not assume that a request to cancel, change or withdraw a bet has been completed unless the account interface confirms the action.

Casinova may refuse, limit, suspend or void a bet where there is a technical issue, an obvious error, suspected misuse, a breach of the applicable terms, a market being offered incorrectly, or another circumstance that affects the integrity of the service. If a bet is affected, the outcome will be determined in accordance with the applicable terms and relevant market rules.

Displayed odds and other betting information may change before a bet is accepted. If the platform provides an option to accept changed odds, you should review the updated information before confirming. The odds applicable to an accepted bet are those recorded in the account or bet confirmation, subject to correction under these rules.

Live and in-play betting

Live or in-play markets may be suspended or updated while an event is taking place. Delays can occur between an event happening and information appearing on the platform. A bet placed during a suspension, delay or technical interruption may be rejected or reviewed. Markets can be suspended around significant moments, including scoring, penalties, changes in play or other material events.

You are responsible for understanding the risks of live betting and for checking the status of a bet after placing it. Casinova does not guarantee that live commentary, statistics, scores or other event information will be complete, immediate or error-free. Official or recognised results and the applicable market rules will be used when determining settlement.

Events, markets and settlement

Each market has a stated subject and settlement basis. This may include the event, competition, participant, start time, period of play, applicable result and any special conditions. You should read the market name, selection information and related rules before placing a bet. If a market does not clearly explain a material condition, the applicable product rules or general terms may be used to resolve the issue.

Bets are settled using the result recognised under the relevant market rules. Depending on the market, this may be based on the official result at the end of the event, a specified stage of an event, or another clearly stated measure. Later amendments, appeals or disciplinary decisions will be handled according to the applicable rules and may not change a settlement unless those rules allow it.

Where an event is abandoned, postponed, rescheduled, interrupted or completed under unusual circumstances, settlement will depend on the relevant market conditions. Some bets may remain valid if the required conditions have been met, while others may be cancelled or voided. If a participant withdraws, is replaced, does not start or is disqualified, the relevant market rule will determine how affected bets are treated.

A selection, event or market may be declared void where the market cannot be settled fairly or in accordance with its stated conditions. A void bet is generally treated as cancelled, with the stake handled in line with the applicable rules. The treatment of combination bets may differ where one or more selections are void, so you should review the rules for the particular bet type.

  • The official result may be different from information shown in media reports or on third-party websites.
  • A market may be settled before all related information is final if its specific rules permit early settlement.
  • If an obvious pricing, description or settlement error occurs, Casinova may correct the error or void the affected bet.
  • Duplicate bets or bets submitted more than once because of a system issue may be reviewed and treated under the applicable terms.
  • The account history is the primary record of accepted bets and their settlement status.

Account balances, disputes and responsible betting

Any return or winning amount credited to your account is subject to the bet being validly accepted and correctly settled. A credit made in error does not create an entitlement to keep or withdraw the amount. Casinova may correct account balances and may recover an amount that was credited incorrectly, subject to applicable law and the relevant terms.

You should check your bet history and account balance regularly. If you believe a bet has been recorded incorrectly, settled incorrectly or affected by a technical issue, raise the matter through the available support process as soon as reasonably possible. Include enough information for the bet to be identified, such as the date, market, selection and reference shown in your account. Reviews may require account verification and may take time while event information or technical records are checked.

Casinova may monitor betting activity to protect players, maintain platform security, prevent fraud and support the integrity of betting markets. Account activity may be reviewed where there are unusual patterns, suspected collusion, multiple-account use, manipulation, unlawful conduct or a breach of the applicable terms. Restrictions or other action may be taken where appropriate.

Play responsibly

Betting should be treated as entertainment, not as a way to make money or recover losses. Only bet what you can afford to lose and set personal limits before you begin. Avoid chasing losses, betting when upset or using money needed for everyday expenses. If betting stops feeling enjoyable or begins to affect your finances, relationships, work or wellbeing, stop and seek appropriate support.

  • Take regular breaks and keep track of the time and money you spend.
  • Do not borrow money or use credit intended for essential expenses to place bets.
  • Use available deposit, spending, time or activity controls where offered.
  • Consider a temporary break or self-exclusion if you need help stopping.
  • Contact an appropriate gambling support service or a qualified professional if you are concerned about your gambling.
  • If you are under the legal age or are not permitted to gamble, do not use the betting service.

These Betting Rules may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the service, applicable requirements or betting products. The current version published on the Casinova website applies to future use of the service. If you do not understand a rule, do not place the bet until you have reviewed the relevant information or obtained clarification through the available support channels.
